Terms of Service

By creating an account, buying a plan, or otherwise using STORYCRAFTER, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

STORYCRAFTER is a story-development tool for writers. It helps you plan, develop, and review your stories. AI features — including Story Review — are coaching tools: they ask questions, flag gaps, and give feedback. They do not write your story for you, and your words remain yours.

STORYCRAFTER launches December 1, 2026. Plans purchased before launch are reserved immediately; the free trial runs from checkout until launch, and the first charge happens on December 1, 2026. Purchases made after launch get a 7-day free trial. Full workspace features open at launch. Story Review is available now to everyone, with fair-use limits.

You need an account to buy a plan or manage your subscription. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information when signing up, and accounts are for one person — one account per student for the student discount.

You may delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, abuse our services, or circumvent usage limits or discount rules.

We offer three plans: Scene Stealer, Act Master, and Auteur. Current prices are shown on our pricing page and are charged by Paddle. Prices may change with notice before a renewal; your price for the period you have already paid will not change mid-period.

• Free trial: every plan starts with a 7-day free trial that begins when you check out. Cancel during the trial and you will not be charged.
• Renewal: after the trial, your plan renews automatically at the interval shown at checkout (monthly, or annually for discounted annual billing) until you cancel.
• Cancellation: you can cancel any time. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Plan changes: upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Switching between plans during an active trial is free.
• Taxes: applicable taxes are calculated and collected by Paddle based on your location.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms.

Verified students receive 35% off any plan. You must submit proof of current school registration, and verification is approved manually. Approval lasts one year and must be renewed with fresh proof. One account per student, and the discount cannot be combined with other offers.

You own what you write. Your premises, notes, characters, and stories are your work — we claim no ownership of it. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, and display your content to you (and to whoever you choose to share it with) while you use the service.

Our intended policy is that your writing is not used to train AI models without your explicit opt-in. Final terms will be published before launch.

The STORYCRAFTER service, including its software, design, logo, name, and all content we provide (excluding your content), is owned by UFP Enterprises and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service while your account is in good standing. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute it.

You agree not to: misuse or overload the service; circumvent usage limits, access controls, or discount rules; submit content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to use; share accounts; or resell access to the service. Story Review and other public features have daily fair-use limits, which may also apply across shared networks.

STORYCRAFTER is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that AI feedback will be accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that any particular writing outcome will result. To the fullest extent permitted by law, UFP Enterprises is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on the site or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use STORYCRAFTER after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
